The Process
01.
Send me a message!
Tell me the dates you are available, what vibe you are going for whether that is moody portraits for your business, candid family home session or capturing your family with the fall colors. This will help me when deciding on a location too! I should be able to get back to you the next business day. If you would like styling guidance too, let me know. I do this free of charge.
02.
Let's talk details!
Once we are closer to the date, we can figure out a time for the best lighting outside. We will talk about exactly where we will be meeting and can talk outfit options that will go best with where we will be shooting! I am an open book and will give you my best tips as my client!
03.
The day of the shoot.
Once we meet at the location and time agreed upon, we will then get to work! I try to keep family sessions under an hour because I know how restless kids can get. I do come loaded with several tricks up my sleeve to keep kids smiling throughout and parents enjoying the time spent together.
04.
Your gallery
Your gallery will arrive via email in 4-6 weeks. I will send you a sneak peek within 48 hours of the shoot. You will receive full printing rights with a pin to download any images you love. If you have any questions with this process, let me know!
FAQ
How many pictures will we receive?
In your full gallery, you should recieve 30-50 edited images.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
I recommend within the first two weeks. However, if you have a NICU baby or special circumstances, we can arrange a day when you both are ready. The sooner, the better so we can capture the cutest things that only newborns do.
I am a NICU mom myself (my twins were born at 32 weeks and in the hospital for 2 months) I understand any worries you have and am comfortable handling those sweet fragile, preemies.
How should we dress for our family session?
Neutrals are a safe option but every family is different/has a different style so please reach out to me! I do offer styling advice that will look best with my editing style, free of charge.
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
YES! My style involves lots of play, and lots of love so just be you! I am able to make smiles and beautiful images out of simple moments with your loved ones.
If we are doing portraits by yourself, I am prepared with natural posing techniques that create comfortable, professional images. No need to worry, I am prepared to make you feel and look your best!
